On the morning of July 8th, Hongde Academy held the 2025 'Hong' Star Shining Commendation Ceremony. Attending the event were Jiang Guangfeng, President of Hongde Academy; Zou Haiyan, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office and Vice President of Hongde Academy; Hou Hong, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office and Vice President of Hongde Academy; Chen Yansheng, Deputy Director of the North Campus Work Office; heads of student affairs from various professional colleges; deans; representatives of class advisors for the 2022 cohort; academic mentors; peer mentors; and representatives of counselors from various professional colleges.
Dean Jiang Guangfeng, in his speech at the commendation meeting, summarized the fruitful results of the Academy's four-year cultivation of top innovative talents: First, the implementation of a 'four-level mentor' multidimensional training system, which cultivates students' innovative thinking and helps them scale the heights of science. Second, the deepening of the 'dual-college system' collaborative education model, which has nurtured a group of interdisciplinary talents who possess both solid professional skills and broad perspectives. Third, the careful creation of a 'one-stop' student community, providing a solid foundation for the comprehensive growth of Academy students. In the future, Hongde Academy will adhere to its original mission of education, continuously deepen educational and teaching reforms, and contribute the 'Hongde Plan' to the cultivation of top innovative talents. Dean Jiang earnestly advised the Class of 2022 to remember the motto, 'Ambitious Talent, Virtuous Practice,' to strengthen their professional foundation, be courageous in innovation, broaden their international vision, and shine with the outstanding brilliance of Hongde people on the great journey of national rejuvenation.
At the meeting, the 'Star Homeroom Teacher', 'Star Academic Mentor', 'Star Peer Mentor', and 'Star College Student' were recognized, and award certificates were presented to the students from Hongde College who won in the China International College Students' Innovation Competition campus-level contest.

Academic mentor, Professor Zhang Zhiguo, delivered a speech. He reviewed his experiences as the academic mentor for the Class of 2022, guiding students to balance 'eagerness to learn' with 'joy in learning' and improving their ability to think independently and solve problems. He encouraged students to integrate personal ideals with national development and stated that he will continue to uphold the college's educational philosophy in the future, contributing to the cultivation of outstanding talents with solid foundational knowledge and strong innovative abilities.

She called on fellow students to continue upholding the spirit of great talent and lofty aspirations, as well as virtue and steadfast practice, and to forge ahead on the new journey with the character and abilities nurtured by the Academy.

Wang Rixin, the counselor of the 2022 class at Hongde Academy, shared his insights gained from growing together with the students and encouraged everyone to strive forward bravely in the future. Li Xiang, the counselor of the 2022 class at the School of Liberal Arts, on behalf of the counselors from various faculties, welcomed the academy students and stated that they will continue to act as 'growth partners' for the students, providing comprehensive support for their development.
Representatives from Hongde College and various professional colleges presented wonderful performances such as recitations, singing, and dancing for the teachers and students on site, conveying the students' youthful declaration of optimism, positivity, and making the most of their time.
At the commendation ceremony, student representatives were awarded
certificates of completion from Hongde College.
Finally, all students of the 2022 cohort solemnly took an oath, and all attending guests, teachers, and student representatives took a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
