As an important branch of chemistry, chemical biology serves as a bridge connecting chemistry, biology, medicine, pharmacy, and materials science. It allows us to decode life phenomena from a chemical perspective, use chemical materials and tools to study life processes in depth, and aid in disease treatment. This is not only an innovative direction for interdisciplinary integration but also a key path for chemists to engage in major disease prevention and treatment and fulfill their scientific mission.
Speaker:
Liu Zhang Mohan, a 2023 undergraduate student in Chemistry (Advanced Elite Class). She received the National Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year and is proposed to receive the National Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. She has also won numerous school and college-level awards, including the First-Class Scholarship of the People, Third Prize in the National College Student Physics Experiment Competition (Teaching), Third Prize in the Beijing College Student Physics Experiment Competition, and First Prize in the Beijing University of Chemical Technology Chemistry Experiment Competition. She has been recognized as an Outstanding League Member at the school level and as an Excellent Student at the college level. She is currently pursuing research in the field of chemical biology.
Content Summary

This article will start from the causes and influencing factors of cancer to introduce the tumor microenvironment (TME) in cancer treatment. It aims to enhance everyone's understanding of cancer and appreciate the wonders of the human immune system. Additionally, the article will further introduce the main current therapies for cancer treatment, helping everyone build a foundational understanding of this disease.
