Building dreams for youth through innovation, empowering the country through practical actions. To thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important reply to the student representatives participating in the China International College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the 'Youth Red Dream Journey,' and to fulfill the integrated advancement requirements of education, technology, and talent, under the coordinated organization of the university's Academic Affairs Office, Hongde College officially launched the preparatory work for the 2026 China International College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition at the college level in January 2026.
Students of the college actively responded to the call of the competition, participating extensively and preparing meticulously. From January to March 2026, through standardized procedures including event promotion, project preparation, registration collection, qualification review, and project evaluation via correspondence, 15 projects stood out to advance to the college-level on-site review and defense, including 9 projects in the higher education main track and 6 projects in the 'Youth Red Dream Journey' track.
On the afternoon of March 20, the on-site evaluation of the Hongde College competition for the 2026 China International College Students' Innovation Competition was successfully held at the Second Teaching Building of the Changping Campus. The on-site evaluation strictly adhered to the competition's track requirements, setting up two judging groups: the Higher Education Main Track and the Youth Red Dream Journey Main Track.
Professional judges were specially invited to conduct the evaluation: Professors Shi Shaowei, Li Zhengjun, and Liu Jiaqi served as judges for the Higher Education Main Track, while Professors Wang Yizhe, Cai Jingmeng, and Zhu Xining served as judges for the Youth Red Dream Journey Track. Dean Jiang Guangfeng of Hongde College attended the evaluation, guiding the organization of the event and boosting the morale of the participating students.

The Higher Education Main Track closely follows the core goals of the competition: 'stimulating young people's potential in science and innovation, focusing on technological self-reliance and self-improvement, and serving industrial upgrading and development,' and deeply aligns with the requirements of the 'Four New' construction in emerging engineering, emerging medicine, emerging agriculture, and emerging humanities.
At the defense session, participating projects covered multiple cutting-edge fields, including metallurgical solid waste resource utilization, marine plastic biodegradation, research on viral molecular mechanisms, intelligent cartilage regeneration, advanced energy storage material research, and the integrated application of smart agriculture and AI, encompassing key directions of the competition such as new materials, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and new energy. Students, based on their professional knowledge, tackled technical challenges in the industry, precisely responded to industrial development needs, and vividly demonstrated the competition spirit of 'I dare to challenge, I know how to innovate' as well as the youthful style of striving for scientific and technological excellence in the new era.

The main track of the Youth Red Dream-Building Journey is guided by 'inheriting red genes and contributing to national development,' strictly following the competition's track requirements of 'rooted in the grassroots, serving society, and practicing the mission.' Participating projects focus on key areas such as agricultural and rural development, urban and rural community services, traditional culture inheritance, and addressing people's livelihood issues, and are divided into public welfare and creative practical exploration categories. From conducting field research deep in the countryside to engaging in hands-on community services at the grassroots level, participating teams practice firsthand, integrating knowledge with action, building innovative bridges with their professional skills, and responding to social needs with practical solutions. This allows the youthful energy of innovation and entrepreneurship to flourish where the country needs it, truly embodying the responsibility and commitment of the youth in the new era.

During the project presentation and defense session, the participating students showcased their research results, development plans, and practical value comprehensively and clearly, with high-spirited enthusiasm and solid project preparation.
The judges, strictly following the competition evaluation rules and drawing on their extensive industry experience and professional academic insights, provided precise comments on the projects from dimensions such as personal growth, project innovation, industrial value, and team collaboration. They offered targeted optimization suggestions regarding solution design, implementation paths, result transformation, and business models, carefully guiding the teams to refine project details and promoting the projects toward more mature, feasible, and industrially viable directions.


Based on the preliminary review of the comprehensive written evaluation, on-site defense performance, and the judges' overall assessment, the award-winning projects of this college competition are now announced.

At this point, the 2026 China International College Students' Innovation Competition at Hongde Academy has successfully concluded. May the students of the academy take this competition as a new starting point, firmly grasp the opportunities provided by the competition platform, bravely strive for excellence and take the lead in both professional research and practical exploration, continuously optimize their project outcomes, actively promote the transformation of technological achievements into practical applications, cultivate new driving forces for the development of productive forces, and achieve outstanding results in the upcoming school, city, and national competitions.
