The meeting was presided over by Dean Jiang Guangfeng of Hongde College, with representatives of basic course teachers and all staff of Hongde College attending the exchange.

First, Deputy Dean Zou Haiyan of Hongde College introduced the construction of the college's 'one-stop' student community, academic development support, and academic atmosphere building. She focused on explaining, based on the tasks and requirements of the school's New Era Moral Education Project, the continuous promotion of the linkage between the first classroom (formal coursework) and the second classroom (extracurricular activities), along with the specific approaches and measures adopted.
During the discussion session, teachers Li Zenghe, Xu Jiaxi, Shao Xiaohong, Zhao Lina, Lei Ming, and others spoke in turn, combining their actual teaching experiences, students’ learning conditions and characteristics, course teaching reform measures, and how the linkage between the first and second classrooms can stimulate students’ interest in learning and research. After discussion, the meeting reached a consensus: as an experimental field for cultivating top innovative talents, Hongde College should continuously improve the mechanisms for selecting and training students, effectively identifying those with professional interests and self-driven learning and research motivation. Meanwhile, relying on Hongde College’s educational platform, it should fully integrate high-quality resources both inside and outside the university. By employing methods such as linking classroom and extracurricular activities and the first and second classrooms, the college should fully explore students' strengths and potential talents. Targeted cultivation measures should help students lay a solid foundation, enhance their abilities, and guide them to achieve better development in directions suitable to their individual characteristics.
Finally, Jiang Guangfeng gave a concluding speech. He pointed out that this seminar had conducted thorough discussions and exchanges on the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents, consolidating consensus and gathering many beneficial ideas for further improving the talent cultivation work at Hongde College. Hongde College will take this exchange as an opportunity to continuously deepen the interaction between formal classes and extracurricular learning, earnestly promote the implementation and effectiveness of various educational initiatives, and steadily improve the quality of cultivating top-notch innovative talents.
