On the morning of April 29, Vice Principal Su Haijia visited Hongde College to conduct a special survey on the reform of the college-based education model. The leadership team and all faculty and staff of Hongde College participated in the survey.
Su Haijia visited the college's 'one-stop' student community in person, getting a detailed understanding of the renovation and upgrading of the college spaces, the construction of the smart community ecosystem, and the implementation of the 'Five Educations' activities. Su Haijia also watched a video showcasing the college's educational achievements, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the innovative measures and the progress made in nurturing top-notch talents in recent years.

At the discussion meeting, Hongde College gave a full report on its work measures and progress in building a 'one-stop' student community, improving academic culture, providing academic support, offering student growth services, and organizing daily campus activities. Dean Jiang Guangfeng focused on introducing the 'Implementation Plan for Hongde College and Professional Colleges to Jointly Cultivate Outstanding Innovative Talents.' He systematically explained the college’s next steps and implementation path for deepening the cultivation of top innovative talents, covering areas such as training goals, the dual-college collaboration mechanism, curriculum support, mentor team collaboration, and student development support.

Su Haijia fully affirmed the achievements of Hongde College. She required all faculty and staff members to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important statements on education and talent cultivation, uphold the original mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the country, firmly establish and consciously practice the correct view of performance for educators in the new era, continuously improve the development of the College and the effectiveness of cultivating top-notch innovative talent, and put forward guiding opinions on the high-quality development and further improvement of Hongde College.
She pointed out that, first, the College should closely follow the requirements of the moral education project in the new era, further clarify the division of responsibilities between the College and professional schools in student cultivation, and promote seamless coordination and joint efforts under the dual-college system in student guidance, mentor cooperation, daily management, and growth support, forming an overall educational synergy in which “1+1>2.”
Second, the College should seize the opportunity of comprehensively optimizing talent cultivation programs, continuously improve and upgrade the honors curriculum system, and build a progressive and growth-oriented course support model. On the basis of strengthening quality education and innovation ability, students should be encouraged to join research teams, laboratories, and research projects at an early stage, laying a solid foundation for the long-term development of top-notch innovative talent.
Third, the College should coordinate and integrate high-quality educational resources inside and outside the university, continuously improve the educational environment of the “one-stop” student community, enrich ideological and political, cultural, sports, and student development activities, and create a warm, inclusive, and cohesive “home culture” within the College.
Fourth, the College should continue to deepen the comprehensive reform of the residential college system for cultivating top-notch innovative talent, systematically summarize its educational experience, and build a distinctive Hongde College educational brand with demonstrative influence.
Su Haijia emphasized that the College should strengthen students’ ideological and political guidance, regularly carry out education on ideals and beliefs, and care for students’ growth and physical and mental health. With the May Day holiday approaching, safety management responsibilities must be fully implemented, safety education and reminders must be provided in advance, and special attention should be paid to dormitory safety, travel safety, and personal and property safety, so as to strengthen the safety line during the holiday.
